Weld County Medical Society is a component of Colorado Medical Society. All licensed physicians who practice in Weld County are eligible for membership in the Weld County Medical Society. Currently there are 167 members, not including Emeritus and Resident members. The Board of Directors, comprised of ten physician members, is responsible for the general management of business affairs of the Society. The Weld County Medical Society rents office space at North Colorado Medical Center. A part-time Executive Director is responsible for the day to day activities of the Society.
Purpose
Weld County Medical Society supports various community and school projects, including involvement in efforts to provide care of indigent and uninsured patients. The Society facilitates educational programs and workshops for physicians and their office staff. As a component of Colorado Medical Society, it is actively involved in the legislative process.
